Description
The H. A. Raapke Architectural Sketchbook contains six original architectural drawings and studies dating to 1906 and 1907 and depicting buildings in various parts of Europe. The highly-detailed pencil drawings are on 7.5" x 9.5" sheets which have been separated from the sketchbook binding. Five of the drawings are initialed "HAR," and the last is unsigned.
H. A. Raapke (d. 1959) was an architect in Omaha, Nebraska. He designed the Renaissance Mansion in Omaha, the North Star Theatre in Omaha, and the New Moon Theater in Neligh, Nebraska. He was a member of the American Institute of Architects from 1918 until 1923.
